The Pay2Stay story

Since COVID-19 quarantined us all in 2020, events are no longer what they used to be. Events are back but a lot has changed.

Smaller gatherings, bigger needs

Today, people yearn for more exclusive meetups and meaningful connections at Third Places with like-minded attendees they can feel safe around.

Experienced event planners seek to streamline operations — from sending invites and ensuring secure check-ins, to getting payouts.

Aspiring ones look for easier and legal ways to monetize new event trends such as paid house parties and luxury picnics.

Event promoters and influencers want a faster way to sell early-bird tickets to conferences, masterclasses, meet-and-greets, and workshops.

Private clubs and VIP restaurants are exploring innovative ways to bill members by time and simplify RSVPs for non-members.

And the list goes on…

The problem? While the culture of events is sharply changing, the technology for it has stalled.

Event planning dilemmas: same old, same old!

Event ticketing giants don’t care about small-to-medium event organizers, let alone the experience of their guests and promoters. So if you are in this category that accounts for 10% of the United States’ events market, quite bluntly: big corps in the industry don’t care about you! Events wouldn’t be so unsafe and refund policies wouldn’t be so tricky or non-existent if they did.

With so much chaos happening at large events, gatherings are becoming smaller in size as attendees’ need for safety grows bigger. Like our founder Sascha Koch (before creating Pay2Stay), event hosts are still figuring things out, using multiple tools, and trying to make things work: manual SMS invites, pen and paper to manage check-ins, spreadsheets, you name it. So much for maximizing earnings and productivity! Sigh.

The future of events is here!

This is why Pay2Stay was born — leveraging the immutability and speed of cryptography to make everyone’s event experience fairer, faster, richer, and safer. We fundamentally believe that everyone deserves to have full control of their time and money to make better use of them.

We never want to see:

Attendees fear for their safety

Affiliates fight hosts over their dues

Hosts chase payments from guests

Or guests and hosts entangled in refund disputes

Pay2Stay is here to facilitate smoother connections and fairer transactions because, at the core, we are all peers!

The journey into the future of events is an exciting adventure and we're pumped to take you along with us as we continue to build Pay2Stay.

Sascha Koch

Founder & CEO

A serial entrepreneur, Sascha has spent over 20 years hosting all kinds of exclusive events. With a background in engineering, he owns several patents from a wide spectrum of industries, as well as copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual properties. Sascha Koch originally conceived the idea of Pay2Stay in response to common challenges faced by him and his peers in small-to-medium event planning. In 2022, he founded P2S Software Inc. with his partner, Tobias Ruck, to consecrate himself to the vision — our vision. Sascha aims to make private events faster to organize, safer to host and attend, and fairer for all.

Tobias Ruck

Co-founder & CTO

As a software engineer and architect having previously worked with the German Aerospace Center, Tobias possesses extensive experience in blockchain technology. The be.cash founder’s contributions to the industry include helping to launch the world’s fastest, most scalable, and secure blockchain network, eCash. He is also the man behind the development of eCash’s Chronik Indexer, the Lotus blockchain, and powerful apps like CashTab and RaiPay. A staunch believer in using peer-to-peer technology to improve human connections, Tobias looks to supercharge events ticketing into the future via Pay2Stay through cryptography.
